Onward & Upward (another hubs update)
Day #1 at home has been promising so far. He got up around 9:00. Didn't want coffee, but he had juice and a blueberry muffin. I drank his coffee for him...doubly caffeinated and duly ready for the challenges of the day.
I FINALLY took off my blue wrist band, a few hours ago, that the hospital required me to wear in order to visit hubs. I even showered with it on because it saved time whenever I went to visit.
Hubs checked in with the office today. He wants to go in to the office tomorrow--supposedly to sign some paperwork and pick up his mail. He can't drive. As in, he is not medically cleared to drive, but his black eye is preventing him from being able to see well enough to drive. Or do stairs by himself. I told him I'll give him fifteen minutes at the office tomorrow, but he's not staying.
He got some good sleep last night, which definitely helped him out. He's napping now too. He still tires quickly. He wanted to walk with us when I took the pups out for their potty at lunchtime. It wore him out but he was steady. He also finally showered, so he feels a little more human.
For the remainder of this week, I'm getting him whatever he wants to eat, even if it's junk food. Which is what he requested for lunch. I made a McDonald's run for a Filet-o-Fish meal. I've been researching diet ever since Sunday, and I think the one that will work best for his health and mine will be DASH or Mediterranean, so I'll be structuring meals around those philosophies for the foreseeable future.
