Baby Moon and Weekend Update
I'm so thankful my little baby moon loves her kitty tent. It seems like the gifts Santa brings generally go unappreciated by the fur babies unless it's food treats. haha There have been a few exceptions. Our rainbow bridge puppy girl LOVED the blanket Santa brought & she drug that thing around everywhere. Primo loves his Lamb Chop squeaky toy. It's his "baby." Other than that--not so much. So, I'm definitely thrilled Cressie is using her gift as her personal little hideaway.
Easiest Christmas meal I've ever made was the chicken breasts/turkey thighs with chipotle seasoning, jalapeno cranberry salsa, wild rice with mushrooms, green beans & cornbread. YUM! And, my feet don't even hate me because it was fairly quick to assemble; it just took a while to cook. We still have enough leftovers in the refrigerator to feed an army, so looks like I won't be cooking very much this week!
I decided that this week will definitely be a catch-up week in terms of goals. Only new goal I'm adding is a personal one. This time I want to establish a nice bedtime routine complete with skin care, flossing, medications, and the whole 100 strokes thing with my hair. Set out clothes & prep what I can for breakfast the next day.
This week should be fun, yet busy. I'll be making those wine glass sugar cookies, completing my December goals and Thursday will be the Get Lit Fun Run through the lighted floats at Folepi Park in East Peoria. Dogs aren't allowed at this race, but hubs might actually go with me for the first time this year. I used to bring in the new year each year by doing this race and usually Bestie Jenn went with me and it's beautiful running through the lighted floats. Of course, I will be walking, but I'm excited to do this again after an 8 or 9 year hiatus.
Have a great week--stay safe! ♥
